Bombshell's Books

I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and a romance junkie since the twelfth grade. These days I read M/M romance novels almost exclusively. I can't help it - I love boys who love other boys! If you don't believe in equality or that all love is beautiful, we probably won't have a lot to talk about. But, if you do, feel free to make a friend request, comment on a review, or recommend your favourite guilty pleasure. I'd love to hear from you!

Currently reading

Special Forces - Soldiers - Directors Cut
Marquesate, Aleksandr Voinov, Vashtan
Double Up
Vanessa North
Hard as You Can
Laura Kaye

Nowhere Ranch

Nowhere Ranch - Heidi Cullinan Yup. It's as good as everyone promises it is.

Academic Pursuits

Academic Pursuits - Lou Harper The writing was okay, but the story was perhaps the least emotionally satisfying one I have read in a very long time.

Heat

Heat - Tory Temple *** 3.5 Stars ***

Untitled Dark Space

Darker Space - Lisa Henry Oh. My. FUCK. I will cut a bitch if she gets between me and this book on release day. Just sayin'.

Among the Living (PsyCop #1)

Among the Living (PsyCop #1) - Jordan Castillo Price The first half of the story dragged a bit for me, but the last half totally made up for it.

Inside Out

Inside Out - Jordan Castillo Price *** 2.5 World Building Stars ***

Think I would have enjoyed it more had I read it AFTER reading Among the Living (and therefore had an emotional connection to the characters). As it was, I spent more time struggling to figure out the world of PsyCops than enjoying the budding dynamics between Vic and Jacob.

Red Dirt Heart 2 (Red Dirt Series, #2)

Red Dirt Heart 2 (Red Dirt #2) - N.R. Walker I don't think anyone can possibly understand how much I love this series. It makes me laugh, and cry, and sigh, and grin like a lunatic. And sometimes - oh, okay, a lot of times - it makes me do all four of these things over the course of a single paragraph. This book truly is my "happy place". I mean... I only finished the book 15 minutes ago and already I want to turn my Kindle page to Page 1 and start all over again.

Love. Love. Love. LOVE!

Say Yes

Say Yes - Silvia Violet Meh. This felt a little as if I were reading an elementary school essay on "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" (only with butt sex).

Of Cheerleaders and Gingers

Of Cheerleaders and Gingers - K.C. Beaumont The story itself was probably only worth a 3.5 Star rating, but there were at least two priceless lines in there that made me snort giggle, so I bumped it up. Pretty dang cute, this one.

The Island

The Island - Lisa Henry *** 4.5 Stars ***

Seduction

Seduction - Lou Harper I do so enjoy this couple. This was sexy little morsel for sure.

Game On

Game On - Olley White I liked this story a whole heck of a lot.

While on the surface I have almost nothing in common with these characters - I'm not male, British, in my twenties, have a great affinity for animals, gaming, roller skating, or public humiliation dancing - Max and Stefan wormed their way into my heart almost instantly. By the time Max started to feel his first flutterings of same-sex sexual awareness, I was completely invested in them and their happily ever after. My heart literally clutched when they were apart. That's the sign of a really great story, don't you think? One that causes its readers to have a physical reaction to it?

While there were some tender kisses, and a sweet, soapy hand job (and I was fully expecting it given Stefan's "Slowly. Slowly" mantra), I'm forced to acknowledge my inner horn dog and give the story -1 Strength point for no on the page penetration. (Sorry, Lori, it's totally a "it's not you, it's me" situation because I thought that what you did do with your boys on the page, and how their relationship progressed, was perfection).

My thanks to the sassy Brit for participating in the Love's Landscapes event (not once, but twice!) and for all of the behind-the-scenes work that editors, beta readers, and the MM Group Mods put into making this FREE event a massive success! And also a big thanks to the fabulous Natasha Snow who keeps churning out my most favouritest covers for these tales. THANKS, GUYS!

Games Boys Play

Games Boys Play - Fae Sutherland *** 4.5 Stars ***

I don't remember the last time I had such FUN reading a series. Seriously, this one is sweet and fluffy and deliciously smutty and filled with genuine feels. The whole thing had me grinning from start to finish.

Gambling On Maybe

Gambling On Maybe - Fae Sutherland *** 4.5 Stars ***

Zach's joie de vivre is damn infectious. I felt like I was in the middle of a whirlwind wearing teeny tiny pleather shorts and a mesh top. He gets all of the stars this time.

Quinn's Hart

Quinn's Hart - Cassandra Gold It was a flufftastic story set in DISNEYLAND. 'Nuff said.

Yours

Yours - Kim Alan There are some short stories that so intrigue you, that you want to know more - and you want to know it now. This was one of those stories.
